Be a Unicorn & Live Life on the Bright Side by Sarah Ford

unicornThis was a completely delightful book. Ok, it was more than that – I finished reading it and I can’t stop smiling. (I mean, look at that cover!!)

This is mostly a picture book and is about 100 pages. It is about Unicorn and his rules of life and how to (as the title says) live life on the bright side. It is smart, and wise, cute and basically hilarious. (There were a few times I was laughing so hard, I had tears running down my cheeks!)

Let’s face it, things sorta suck these days – there is bad news every day or so it seems. It is easy to get sad and feel bad about things. In my opinion, anything that can bring joy to your day is very welcome. This book did just that.

I mean, unicorns are awesome. But Unicorn (in this book) is super cool. He is totally a unicorn I would like to hang out with. We share a love of cake, Morrisey and Frida Kahlo and colouring. I feel like we would be BFFs. (Right….it’s not an actual real person or unicorn!)

If you are looking for something to put a smile on your face, this is the book for you. I do feel like I could go back to this if I needed a smile. I also think it would be a cute gift for a friend who needs a pick me up.

I rated this 4/5 stars on Goodreads.

Full disclosure: I received this eARC from NetGalley for a fair and honest review. (Thanks NetGalley!)

  1. Ohhh this book sounds ADORABLE and fun – exactly the kind of book to get into when you’re looking for nothing, but a bit of joy in your day. And that Unicorn looks adorable, ahah 🙂
